Hello, my name is Archie Hackett-Morley, and this blog is about the popular video game franchise Skylanders.

Skylanders is a toys-to-life action-adventure video game franchise published by Activision. The games revolve around the Skylanders—magical creatures and heroes who battle evil and keep the peace in the world of Skylands. You play this game by plugging in a “Portal of Power”, which allows you to summon and play the Skylander figures you need to collect to play the game as the “Portal Master”. There is usually a Portal of Power and some Skylanders in the starter set when you first buy the game.

There are multiple Skylander games, such as Skylanders Giants, Swap Force, and Trap Team, etc. Each of them has its own gimmick and story, and most of the Skylanders work in each other’s games—not just the one they were made for. There are dozens of different and cool Skylanders for all sorts of situations, and usually specific Skylanders are needed for specific tasks, so it encourages people to switch it up and use and collect different Skylanders.

Personally, my first experience with Skylanders was Skylanders Giants, and I remember how much I enjoyed playing it when I was a kid. I’ve collected and played every game they made, and I enjoyed each and every one of them. Each game brings something new to enjoy, and with endless options and unique characters to play, you’ll be in for a truly incredible time.
